== Combinations and planes of existence ==
Each basic energy has a plane of existence in which it culminates and plays the principal role. The six planes are therefore named the instinct, gravity, feeling, intelligence, intuition and memory planes. Each energy passes through six stages in the spiral: one latent stage, two stages of increasing capacity, two stages of decreasing capacity and one culminating stage. In this way, the basic energies provide the structure of the evolutionary spiral. == The mother energy and the superconsciousness ==
The mother energy is the seventh basic energy. Martinus describes it as the energy or substance of the superconsciousness, rather than as a temporal and spatial form of created matter. In ''The Galaxies of the Universe'', Martinus presents an analogy between the basic energies and regions of the physical organism. He associates gravity with the stomach region, feeling with the heart, lungs and blood, intelligence with the brain and nervous system, intuition with the sexual organs, memory with the skeleton, and instinct with musculature and skin.{{ref|short book 16|2.7}}

He further describes physical particles as temporary crystallisations of thought energies and the organism as a manifestation of consciousness and creative ability. == Development and reincarnation ==
The capacities of the basic energies change from one kingdom or spiral section to another. Martinus describes this change as the movement from darker to lighter forms of manifestation and as the basis of the different modes of experience within the spiral.
